Come and Visit the Farm

Good Karma Farm is a full-time working farm in Belfast on the coast of Maine. We raise alpacas and Icelandic sheep for fiber and breeding stock and we spin our own yarn right here on the farm. Good Karma Farm is also the home of Carrabassett Soap Company, nearing its second decade of soapmaking.

We love to share what we do. Make the trip to Belfast and visit with the animals, shop in our farm store and enjoy this special spot. If you have a school group or club that would like to visit, give us a call so that we can set aside extra time for you.

Carrabassett Soap Company

We began Carrabassett Soap Company in 1998 in Kingfield, Maine, located along the Carrabassett river. In 2008 we moved our operation to Belfast and we now make our soap under the same roof as Good Karma yarn.

All of our soap is made using a combination of Olive, Palm, and Coconut oils, Hemp oil, Pure Essential oils and all natural colorings. We make our soap in small 120 lb batches. Once the soap is cut, it is left to cure for a minimum of 5 weeks. The proper cure time ensures that our soap will be gentle for your skin and exceptionally long-lasting. You'll find that our soap is extremely mild and moisturizing and perfect to use on your face, body and hair. Great to shave with too!
